At BRD Investigations, our primary mission has always been to uncover the truth, no matter how uncomfortable it may be for the establishment. Recently, our rigorous reporting on the Lucy Letby case—a devastating miscarriage of justice where an innocent nurse has been failed by the system—has attracted significant attention. Unfortunately, not all of this attention has been in good faith.
Currently, BRD Investigations and our Editor are the targets of a severe, coordinated doxing and harassment campaign initiated by a YouTube creator. We believe in complete transparency with our readers, and it is vital to set the record straight regarding the video currently circulating titled "LUCY LETBY: BRD INVESTIGATIONS WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING?".
Official Statement on Harassment and Doxing
BRD Investigations will not be intimidated by threats of physical violence or cyber-harassment. All criminal communications and threats made have been logged and reported.
The Catalyst: Blatant Intellectual Property Theft
The hostility directed at us did not stem from a disagreement over facts or evidence. It began with blatant intellectual property theft.
Recently, we published an in-depth investigative article titled "The Great Betrayal: How the BBC 'Knowing' Lies Framed and Innocent Nurse and Smeared a President". Shortly after, a YouTube channel uploaded a video where the creator read 100% of our original article verbatim, without permission, or a commercial license. This was not a critique or a Fair DealingFair Dealing: A legal framework in the UK that allows limited use of copyrighted material without permission for specific purposes, such as criticism, review, or news reporting. Reading an entire article verbatim for commercial gain does not qualify. exception; it was a direct market substitute designed to unjustly monetise our hard work.
To protect our journalism, we submitted a standard, legally binding copyright infringement notification to YouTube.
The Weaponisation of the YouTube Copyright System
What happened next is a terrifying indictment of YouTube's privacy safeguards. As part of the standard legal process, YouTube provided the infringing creator with the confidential legal details of our Editor.
Instead of addressing the copyright violation, the creator unlawfully weaponised this confidential legal information to launch a direct, retaliatory attack. On 12 March 2026, he uploaded a new video specifically targeting our Editor, using the personal data YouTube provided to him.
Doxing, Defamation, and Physical Threats
The actions taken by this creator go far beyond online disagreement. In his video and subsequent public comments, the creator has committed the following severe offences:
- Incitement and Doxing: He explicitly instructed his viewers to hunt for our private details, telling his audience: "anybody who has any information about BRD investigations or (Our Editors Name), please message me... via either Facebook or Instagram".
- Physical Threats: Using the identity provided through the legal process, he issued direct, credible threats of physical violence against our Editor, stating, "when I catch up with you, something bad is going to happen" and "You meet me on the streets, I am the wrong guy".
- Public Abuse: In his comments section, he has hurled severe abuse, referring to our Editor as a "knuckle dragging inbred".
Our Stance: We Will Not Be Intimidated
We have formally reported these physical threats and malicious communications. Furthermore, we have demanded that YouTube immediately remove the offending video and permanently terminate the channel for violating their zero-tolerance policies on Threats, Harassment, and Doxing.
BRD Investigations was founded to shine a light on the facts and fight for those failed by the justice system. We know the evidence proves Lucy Letby is innocent, and we rely on those facts, not intimidation tactics or Ad HominemAd Hominem: A logical fallacy where someone attacks the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making an argument, rather than addressing the substance of the argument itself. attacks.
We will not allow our vital investigative journalism to be stolen, nor will we be silenced by bullies issuing threats of physical harm. We thank our loyal readers for their continued support as we pursue this matter through the proper legal channels.
